Neighbourhoods in Clear Lake or Friendswood

Hi all, and Happy New Year! ✨ We are a Norwegian family of three, currently living in Singapore, who will be moving to Houston at the end of July Protected content . My husband, Erik, is starting a new job August 1st, in El Porte. After some research, we have landed that the best location to live, probably will be the area around Clear Lake or Friendswood (though we are open for suggestions to other areas, but prefer not more the 30 minutes drive between our home and my husbands work). Have read us a bit on the sites and understand that the Clear Creek school District is very good. Our daughter, Hanna, turns 14 in March, and will start grade 9 next august. She is attending her 3rd year at Canadian International School here in Singapore. We initially want her to attend a local school in Houston, but it does matter if she can find a school with other youths of roughly the same age from Norway/Scandinavia /Europe and Singapore as well. We have become quite international of us here in Singapore, so both she and we will probably adapt to most nationalities! ☺️ If any of you have any info / advice you can share with us about schools and good neighborhoods in the Clear Lake / Friendswood area, we welcome you to share! 🌸 We are also very interested in tips on good neighborhoods to live in. Like houses in a street where some families live. We are going on a visit to Houston in late April / early May, so hope we can make all final decisions then.
