New multicutlural novel on Kindle
Indra's Net is a Buddhist metaphor for the interconnectedness of all things. It also is a new novel available on Kindle and set in Thailand at the height of the Vietnam War. The protagonist is a young Amerasian man, James Carpenter, who arrives in Bangkok in Protected content begin a year's internship in the north of the country where he was found as an infant by a Catholic priest before being adopted by an American couple. What begins as a coming of age story stretches to span ages, bringing Carpenter to an understanding of his own origins and ultimately to an encounter with Indra's Net itself.
