Oz, Canadian or UK architects working in the USA

Hi,
My husband and I are looking to relocate to the USA. I'm an occupational therapist, so work for me is fine, but my husband is an architect and he's worried about working in imperial measurements.
Just wondering if there's any architects out there that have gone from a metric system country to an imperial system country?
