places to live in Barcelona

Hi!!! I´m Carolina and planning to move from the UK to Barcelona to live for a year on early september, but I have no idea, how to look for a nice apartment to share with friends. Any suggestions???, comments??? Please.....I would really appreciate anything, jajaja, I don´t exactly have a lot of time right now, so I plan to start searching on the internet for a nice, well located and not so terribly expensive flat.

By the way, is there an Internations group in Barcelona??? I would loveee to get in touch with you guys if there is one. I miss the crazyness of bigger cities....
