Why has such a useful platform to bring international minds together developed such a nickname? Is it justified?

Is this platform being used to its best advantage?

Are some discussions stifled on infancy because of fear of ridicule of a country's specific issue which can be debated and discussed, creating an excitement amongst those nationals of that country with input from other intellectuals for balance; creating an exciting Think Tank and contributing to a global participation rather than circling sharks ready to attack?
