I wanted to consult you about my employment prospects. I am a project manager in a local Toronto construction company, we specialize in custom built luxury homes, as well as land development and commercial construction. I am researching the renewable energy sector, but specifically wind energy generation - in light of Canada's vast landscape and great capacity of wind power.
Tell me if you will, what are the qualifications and attributes that I should have to be employable in my field of interest?
I am an Economics specialist of University of Toronto, I have over 3 years of Project Management hands-on experience (without the PM accredentials) I have dealt extensively with local municipal government authorities during the permit acquisition processes, met with and engaged supporting/opposing stakeholders and neighbours in townhall meetings, in private meetings and during municipal Committee meetings. And so the list goes..
How do you fellow InterNations users find my chances of employment in my field of interest? Any formal training/education I should seek? Lack of experience in WindGen detrimental to my prospects? Are my experience transferrable or non-transferrable? How do you suggest I proceed on my career path with the eventual goal of joining this field?
I can with pleasure forward my resume to interested parties
Thank you for all your input,
