Research Request: Expatriate Trailing Spouses

Good morning everyone

I hope you are settling in well in your host countries!

I am an MCom: Business Management student from the University of Pretoria in South Africa, busy with a research study to determine the preparation, training and support requirements of expatriate trailing spouses. I have found that an unhappy pouse is the most common reason for expatriate failure, one that many companies fail to address.

I am currently looking for spouses who are accompanying expatriates on assignment to complete an online questionnaire about what they feel they require from the expat's company in order to adjust in the host country.

The questionnaire includes questions about the preparation, training and support requirements of expat trailing spouses, as well as whether or not these requirements were fulfilled by the company.

I am currently conducting the pilot study in order to test the questionnaire, but I will launch it in the next few weeks and will post the link here on the forum. Every spouse that completes the questionnaire is a great help to me, and I thank you in advance for your assistance with my Masters degree.
