RN/Nurse practitioner roles in other countries

Hi everyone! I'm a registered nurse with a Bachelor's degree, currently in school for my master's degree. I currently work in a pediatric cardiac intensive care unit in Philadelphia, and when I graduate I will be a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. My fiance and I (he's a computer engineer) have been seriously discussing moving overseas. My biggest concern is whether or not I'll be able to practice as a Nurse Practitioner. I know this role is very popular in the US, but I'm not sure how they are utilized in other countries. I've been reading a lot about nursing in the UK and it seems as though it's almost impossible for an American nurse to become a nurse in the UK. I've also read about nursing in Ireland and it seems as though nurses there perform roles similar to a nursing assistant here in the US. I have a great deal of experience, and am used to practicing with a fair amount of autonomy (within my scope of practice, of course). Are there any nurses or nurse practitioners that are practicing in other countries, that could offer me more information? I'd to love to hear about any country, but my fiance and I are leaning toward Norway, anywhere in the UK, or Germany. Thank you!
