We live and express ourselves in a world built on the foundations of science and technology. This feature of our world absorbs a historically enormous percentage of our GNP, and employs an overwhelming part of the world's creative energies.

It has produced an exceptional rise out of misery of the world population, major improvements in life in both "developed" and "developing" countries, the ability to treat hitherto untreatable conditions, to enhance by a factor of 10 energy use efficiency, and to make advanced cultural tools available very widely.

It's probably the only solution (both on supply and demand) to the future raw material and energy crises, as well as climate management.

It deserves a thread brim-full of enthusiasm and human energy.
