Scientific discovery baby mammoth - Russian style

A fellow from Siberia finds a perfectly preserved baby Mammoth, the first of it's kind,no sooner then he runs to let the authorities know about the discovery, the mammoth is stolen. The opportunistic thief sells the find to a merchant.The merchant soon discovers that the police, the army and the KGB ( kidding) are after the find. He then brings the mammoth out of his place and declares that he is dedicating this scientific discovery " to the people"!
Rather sad and at the same time ironically funny story of the unfortunately not uncommon behaviour!
