Senegal. Good resorts.

Senegal – a beautiful place. Help Senegal. From lazy tourist to active helper.

This is my first trip to Senegal. I need to confess that I was very concerned for safety and risk of diseases. But I am writing now this post because I feel I need to share with you that it is a place you need to go if you are a tourist or if you are a volunteer. All my concerns are now waved.

For a super vacation:
You will find resorts with good quality: kind personnel, very tasty food, no mosquitos at resorts and lots of sport to do, natural parks with lots of animals and traditional villages and not only that.

For vacation and ‘no effort’ help:
If some of you is lazy to help or think for any reasons it is not your choice, I have a strong argument. To help Senegal even in a very lazy way – to go on vacation, you help their economy and prevent migration to your beloved developed country.

To help with a little effort:
If you go to Senegal for vacation you can take one bag or leave a small place in your baggage with your summer clothes, a place for clothes you want to donate. And it is so easy, you don’t need to do anything. Your tour agent/hotel will help you.

To do an effort and still enjoy the magic Africa:
I was so lucky to meet people who come here to help. They send containers from European countries.
They come themselves to be engaged in activities and create temporary jobs.
Or you can also donate to non-governmental organizations.

DO NOT:
1.Do not pay to watch animals not in their natural environment. By not paying for this, you are discouraging cruel treatment of animals. But here in Senegal I was offered only to watch at animals in natural environment.
2.Do not give money to children. By not paying for this, you are discouraging child labor and children will have a chance to go to school.
3.Do not turn your head away if you see a tourist using a child for sexual activities . But reporting it you will help to minimize sex tourism.
