Several Hundred French Troops to be sent to Afghanistan

France will be sending several hundreds (sorry, no exact numbers available) troops to Afghanistan as reinforcement of the Protected content there.

"The French Prime Minister Francois Fillon told lawmakers the troops were vital in a country where NATO soldiers are fighting a fierce Taliban insurgency. He said if France withdraws its troops from Afghanistan, it would mean Paris no longer assumes its responsibilities and breaks with its allies. It would mean France is indifferent to Afghanistan's fate."

The US appreciate this, while 68 percent of the French population is against this decision.
I think the decision was the right one to make, we have to continue supporting what we started. Thoughts or comments on the French decision?
