Slowdown should be times to venture out...

One of the views is that a wiser way to face economic slowdown would be to explore and strike new opportunities - perhaps overseas, in countries that may offer greater competitive advantage. It is time for crack thinking. An out-of-the-box idea or cutting edge advantage could open a whole new opportunity. I once met an UK citizen who went through a bad patch, rather than give up, looked for most reasonable places to live so that he could guard himself for a couple of years with the money that he had, rather than run dry in a few months. He found Sri Lanka, explored some local products, worked on that for a few months and got a new business roll off back home in the UK. He returned in six months and set a business that was many time sbigger than he ever did.
