Taking a job in Kochi

hi I have the opportunity to take a business role in Kochi southern India, it's a very well financial role with a good package etc.

Can any one advise me about the area? The people/culture, what's it like for an expat there? What's there to do? Cost of living? What are the schools/hospitals etc like? For my 5 year old son, also how difficult would it be for my partner to get a job? How would she obtain a visa to work?
