Thai school offers transsexual toilet

II remember a discussion in the previous Italian Parliament corridors (reported on TV) between a transsexual member and a woman Member of Parliament.
In this case no third bathroom existed and thus the transsexual member of Parliament used to the women’s one. This made some women feel uncomfortable.

So does building a special toilet in school or any other entity (private / state company), theatre, Cinema etc advance the cause of winning wider acceptance for transsexuals?
