The balance between an expat professional life and his own emotional life

Dear All,

I´m in my first international job since April Protected content . I have left everything behind in Portugal to accept a career challenge in Luxembourg. That´s me a portuguese expat at 36.
In my socialization process I had to build a new network of friends, but sometimes its hard to be outside the country where we have our family and friends.
Therefore I would like to ask how important is in your opinion the balance between an expat professional life and his own emotional life?
