the world requires a new way to see things

i highly recommend the book metamorphosis of the world by Ulrich beck
i have not finished the book but already i have gotten a lot of ideas out of it as i see linkage with in our reality today
what i meant is a new way to see things is basically to not always stick to conventional black and white judgement of things but rather to see things in a big picture way and judge things holistically!!
this is because the world has become increasingly complicated
the internet has arguably given us another world to exist in
where our online presence can be an entirely different persona to what is us in the real life
instagram and facebook can really gives off different impressions and also create unions creates bonds despite distances and can be source of happiness or anger or sadness beyond physical but mentally and it counts too!!! for example online bullying can results in suicides among children and teens etc
globalization has also contributed to the increasingly complicated world
distances had been slowly conquered by international travel and communication technology but never brought distance between people of diffent nations as close as now with the existence of internet
with that comes our interconnectedness, interdependence
how the survival of others faraway meant a difference to our survival too
this is revolutionary not just in terms of the technology or the capablities of the technologies but most of all our mentality and our approaches to matters of the world needs to change!!
inteconnectedness means also differnt cultures coming together and as cultures coming in together there will be differences involved
but a sociologist would warn against judging of other cultures and yet judging is so imperative in our dealings with other people???!!
but the most important thing if we were intending to come up with an amicable and fair solution in the first place is to come in with an open mind and objective one focusing on issue involved!!
because party A has its interests and way of dealing with things and party B has its interests and way of dealing with things
in the end if no one backs down, there will always be a deadlock!
one way out of this is to back off from egoistical my way and my concerns only and look at things in the way that it accomodates party A and party B
or rather THE WORLD where party A and party B live in, what is better for IT!!
and the revolution of thinking should not end there
considerations should not be fixed to a certain topic because humanity means a FACET OF ASPECTS THAT IS MULTIDIMENSIONAL
In the debate of political theory for example we cannot just talk about the initial ideals of a theory
one can talk about the given results so far
one can talk about the given challenges unsolvable so far
one would talk of the known pros and cons that happened so far
because that would be the more relevant things to look at wouldnt it? than just an utopian ideals??
and the issue of human rights
before human rights concept was coined THERE WERE HUMANE PEOPLE TOO YOU KNOW THERE WERE DECENCY TOO
human rights declaration are just fancy terms to to humane treatment of other humans
but does it always have to apply without exception??
even in hollywood movies countless protagonist have decided to sacrifice himself to save the world which is just a bigger good and a larger good?
that is what communist china is all about
and also on so many derided issues about china
the chinese have actually done it out of the bigger and largergood because the situation necessitated it
their understanding of communism is not focusing on economy but rather on the way that they view society as larger than individual and society comes first if it comes to choosing!
the way that commiunist china government would never to laid bare everything and spoon feed you their raw concerns on their situations
western nations have to seek to know themselves, try investigate if there is such a dsired big larger good behind these decisions that seemingly breach human rights!!
also to get over the concept of human rights as if it is such undisputable mangificent theory or idea
helloo in war is there human rights???
in crimes is there humanrights??? you may the law has taken the criminals into account but for the victims well they have now become victim???? human rights are thus not guaranteed
especially if the govt allow guns which means government MOTIVATED AND FACILITATED breaching of human rights and injuries and loss of lives due to gun incidents?????
what we need to do is get past our own fixations and try to empathize with others for one second and strive to understand others instead of looking at everything from our tinted lens'
to try looking at things objectively for things in the long run!!
