Travel arrangements - What to do and Whom to contact when you travel?

Hi all,

My line of work forces me(in a good way) to travel quite a lot around Asia(at the moment). When i travel i travel either alone or with my Team. On my free time i prefer not to socialize with my team especially abroad. THerefore whenever i go i try to contact some people in advance either to ask for advice regarding the place or if there any good events to attend. I have been lucky and with he advent of professional social networks i have met some very interesting people during my trips.

My point is what do you do when you have to travel for business? And do you do when somebody contacts you when you visit? I try to be fair and whoever contacts i either show them tokyo and invite them for dinner or just simply tell them where they need to go.

That is all!

The reason of this post is that i am thinking to realize my dream of a trip around the globe. In Protected content plan to start from Asia and travel to many countries and explore so i am spending these months preparing for it. Do give me advice on places i should visit.

i will also appreciate to hear your opinions on vacations trips and business trips, especially if you travel on your own.
