Travel card for airlines industry (rumour)

Dear InterNations folks,

what do you think about a rumour that an airline company is starting a travel card for airlines industry?
The travel card could (is going to) be used pretty much like travel card for underground or a season ticket for trains:
A travel card for a week
A travel card for a month
A travel card for a year
First, business and economy travel card

The flight locations will be divided into flying zones: short, middle and long range flights depending from which airport you're flying from.

The trend will be pretty soon picked up by nearly all major airlines out there.

Guess, what the pioneer's airline company name is?
Who is going to be first?

I have an idea (will however not tell anyone) what this company will be.

Or is the rumour a cup of old and cold coffee already and I come too late to the news-rumour party?
