Traveling in Europe in August

Before things start up at work in the middle of August I was looking at taking a 5 to 6 night trip some where in Europe. I live in Denmark, so accessing Euro Airlines is not an issue for me, but I would like to keep the trip below Protected content . I don't need fancy and I am more up for the adventure of the trip than luxury, not my style. It is just me and

I was originally thinking Rome, but though I handle hot weather fine not too into the crowds. :P I am think because I have friends around London that might be an option, but if anyone has any suggestions please feel free to suggest some other options. I would like some culture, sights to see and maybe some night life.
