Trip to Warsaw-Berlin-Stockholm from Washington DC

Hi All:

I am heading to Europe for a fortnight for a wedding in Poland (outside of Warsaw) and will also visit Berlin and Stockholm, with the longest amount of time in Stockholm. I would also like to meet up with any InterNations members while in the three cites and be informed of any InterNations events that might occur while I am there.

In Warsaw, I will have three days outside of the wedding festivities. I am interested in recommendations regarding things to do and see in the city center area, as well as places to eat and, umm, enjoy vino or a cocktail. My dates in Warsaw are Protected content , evening of 2 September, and 11 September from Noon onward. I return Stateside on 12 September.

I will be in Berlin from Protected content , staying in Mitte. I have not been in Berlin since the mid Protected content and am looking forward to seeing how reunification has changed the city, e.g. the first time I went to Berlin, I could not have stayed in Mitte as it was in East Berlin. I am interested in any events, art openings, exhibits, etc. I am also interested places to eat, drink or evening activities. One my list is Neue Museum because I want to see how it has been revamped, and also the Reichstag, because I have not seen the building since the new dome was finished.

In Stockholm, I will be staying at a friend's home in Lidingö. While I suspect they might have some things planned for me, I would be interested in any special events, exhibits, etc. that might be going on. I would also be interested in places for eat/drink, etc. in Östermalm, Norrmalm, Gamla Stan, Södermalm, Kungsholmen, Djurgården, and Riddarholmen, which are the areas I am most likely to visit. I expect to travel round via the T-bana from Ropsten or the new station in Lidingö. I suspect my friends might also plan a trip to Växholm and the archipelago.

Your recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,
