Type 1 Diabetes & Immigration

Hi all,

I was wondering if there was any success or attempt stories of a Type 1 Diabetic moving abroad for the long term on InterNations? I've not had much luck finding another Type 1 Diabetic who has managed to do it to anywhere online so far so my enthusiasm is not as strong as it was.

I'm keen to know because I feel my life long condition will be a big thorn in my hopes to possibly moving to Japan - particularly because of the high expense of my medical needs. Thankfully, I have managed to confirm that most of my items are available but the cost per month... It's quite a shock for me to look at considering I've been on the NHS for most of my life (diagnosed at the age of 5 years). :(
