Ukrainian to be able to work in UK

Hi,
I am trying to get on board Ukrainian man to work for our company. Based on research I know that he will need to apply for visa TIER 2, get a sponsor etc.
Any one has some experience to share?
he is currently working in Poland, have permission to work there till Protected content this permission do not apply for UK.
Any advise highly appreciated.
