US green card holders working out of USA

Anybody knows the answer? I'm in Spain for 3.5 months now and been recently offered a Protected content consulting opportunity here. How often would I need to travel back to United States in order not to risk losing my green card? I don't have a re-entry permit, however in USA I keep maintaining a house, a car, bank accounts, credit cards etc.
