USA - paid sick leave

Hi everyone,

Would be very thankful if someone could share some info regarding paid sick leave in the US. As it is not regulated by laws except in some States, how does employers deciding how many days they will pay and how much?

We are establishing a company in Manhattan and need this info.

Maybe it is threw the Insurance Companies like a specific benefit, what is the approximate cost?
