Visiting Bali & seeking tips / people to meet

Hello Internations Bali community,

Am visiting your island between 27APR - 3MAY. Plan is to spend a few days with friends in Ubud. Apart from seeing them, while there, to do a bit of the forests & fields, volcanic mountain, a temple or two and some yoga.

In remaining time, I am interested in exploring the highlights of different parts of Bali and experiences they offer. Have heard of gorgeous beaches in Nasa dua, cool restaurant and bars in Seminyak, casual vibrant party scene in Kuta. Yet to decide if second halt base to be South Kuta or Nusa Dua.

Happy to have any tips - general travel advise, things to do, local food (p.s: am a vegetarian), nice cafes/ restaurants, meet people living locally and exchange culture experiences.
