Visiting Brazil

Hello everybody,

I'm traveling to Brazil in October and I would like to ask which are the safe or "green" zones/neighborhoods in Sao Paulo and Rio, since I'm looking for possible places to stay. I'm a bit concerned about the increasing levels of crime in these cities.

I have done some research but all I have found is that there are no safe areas in Rio and Sao Paulo.

I appreciate your advice and recommendations.
