Voter pour les Présidentielles Françaises

On est à moins de 50 jours du premier tour des élections françaises! Si comme nous vous vous demandez comment voter, est-ce que c'est compliqué, ou est-ce que je vais... ne cherchez plus!

Une de nos compatriote française a rencontré cette semaine la Consul Honoraire Marie-Claire Ribeill qui est d'ailleurs super sympa!

Donc pour voter:
1. Vous êtes inscris au consulat à Atlanta.
Dans ces cas là vous pourrez voter au bureau à Raleigh pour le 1er tour le 22 avril

Il sera ouvert les samedis précédant les élections présidentielles et législatives de 8h du matin à 18h.

2. Vous n'êtes pas inscris au consulat aux USA
Dans ces cas là c'est trop tard pour vous inscrire au consulat pour pouvoir voter mais vous pouvez venir faire une procuration auprès de Marie-Claire jusqu'à 1 jour avant le jour de vote. Pensez à appeler Marie-Claire avant d'aller la voir pour être sure qu'elle soit disponible et à son bureau.
Vous avez juste besoin d'amener votre pièce d'identité et les coordonnées et date de naissance de la personne qui votera pour vous! Ca peut être n'importe qui autour de vous qui peut aller sur Raleigh voter!

Hi fellow French citizens!

We are now less than 50 days away from the first round of the French legislative elections! And if like many of us you are asking yourself how to vote from the USA, where to go and what to do, don't look any further!

One of our French fellow went to meet with the French Consul in Raleigh: Ms Marie-Claire Ribeill, who by the way is really nice and helpful!

So if you want to vote there are 2 scenarios:

1. You are already registered with the French Consulate in the USA (Atlanta)
In this case you are all set and you will be able to go vote in person in Raleigh on April 22nd.

It will be open every Saturday before the legislative elections from 8am till 6pm

2. You are not registered with the French consulate
In this case unfortunately this is too late to do so to be able to vote. However you can still vote with a "procuration"!
All you have to do is make an appointment with Marie-Claire and fill out an official paper to give your power of vote to a friend or family member who is registered in the same town as you back in France. You will need to provide that person address and birth date.
You will also need to bring your passport with you so that Marie-Claire can attest of your identity.
You can make a procuration until 1 day prior to the first round of the elections!!

3. If you are registered with the consulate but you will not be physically in the Raleigh area to vote:
In this case go through step 2 and make a "procuration" for someone that will be in Raleigh April 22nd and can go to the voting office.
