Where does your love for travelling come from ?

It's nice to have a specific forum for travels and travellers... but we shall start first by wonder why we love travelling, right ?

On our group "Solo Women Travellers" we are currently coming up to a very interesting exchange regarding the source of the need for travels. As it's rather not a gender issue, I've been suggested to post it here too.

So where does your love for travelling come from ? Have you ever thought about it ? does it come from a family habit, transmitted by some friends ? taste for adventure ? Childhood frustration ?
