Where to go in Canada?

I told my employer (Canadian IT company, present in most every big Canadian city) I want to work abroad, and they sent my resume to a number of offices worldwide. I got several responses, including one from a workforce manager in Victoria, BC, Canada. I had a phonecall with her and she basically said "Canada is a big place. There's enough work, but you need to choose where you want to go". So I started looking for information, but I'm still not sure. I hope people who live in Canada may be able to help.

I'm single and 35 years old. I rather see myself living in a condo downtown (which I then must be able to afford), close to pubs, places to go out and eat etc, than in a house in a suburb. I like music too. Being single, I'd look to make friends with locals and other expats alike. The city doesn't need to be huge, but as a rule of thumb, I'd like to live in a city with a population of at least around Protected content . I don't mind some snow, but I don't think I'd be a fan of the Alberta climate. I like scuba diving (heard you can do that in Lake Ontario) and general beach/sea life but I also enjoy outdoor activities like making hikes.

Also, if it's possible, I'd like to get a motorcycle drivers license (don't know if it's separate, have to look it up) and get a motorcycle.

I hope someone can help me choose! :)
