Dongying Introduction:

There are about 1,800,000 people live in Dongying, but it is still only a small city of China. However, it has the second biggest oil field in China and the estuary of Yellow River (the second longest river in China) located there. Because of the oil field, the oil industry is developed in Dongying and the University of Petroleum located there. For the culture and Chinese history, the city is also the birthplace of Sunwu, the cradle of lv opera, the orgin place of Qibi. It bred a lot of famous historians, such as the solder saint-Sunwu, Han-prime minister-Nikuan, the founder of the scripture in western Han dynasty-Ouyangsheng. Sunwu culture, ancient Qi culture, Lv opera culture has a distant source and long stream. There are many place of cultural and historical interests and artificial scenery, for example, Fujia, Wucun remains, which have a Protected content history, is the origin place of Dawenkou Culture of Lubei type. The key protection cultural relics, Nansong Palace, is the most complete preservation and earliest wood construction in Shandong province. Boqintai, the old city relics of Le’an in Qi area in the Spring and Autumn period, is called“Qilu first”. Guangrao has a glorious revolutionary tradition. The first Chinese edition of “The Communist Manifesto” is kept here. Yanji and Liuji branch are the earliest party branches set up in rural areas.
