journalists in Myanmar (Yangon)

I am considering a trip to Myanmar in order to produce some journalistic video reports about the country. I have heard that it has become easier for journalists to get into the country but I wonder how the situation really is. It would be great to hear about some experiences of people who especially have been working with video.
I am also wondering if anyone has any good fixer/ translator to suggest.
Another issue is how to get around... how is public transport between regions or/and car/driver rental prices?
