Midwives/Birth Support/Childbirth in Buea (Yaoundé)

Hello All!

I will be in Buea for 4 months this Fall accompanying my husband for his work, and I will be due to give birth! I'm wondering if anyone has recommendations for a homebirth attendant?

I am a midwife from the United States, fully capable of birthing my own baby in our apartment, but I might appreciate some support for select complications should they develop. I have no interest in birthing in a hospital or clinic unless absolutely indicated. I have worked extensively with midwives in Mali and Guinea, but this will be my first time in Cameroon.

Does anyone know any spectacular childbirth attendants that would do a homebirth?

Any expats on here with any birth experience?
