Moving to Zagreb

Hi all, we will be relocating from Ankara, Turkey with 2 kids (3 and 9 yrs) to Zagreb later in August.
I would appreciate any contacts with families with children that are intersted in neww friends :) as well as hints and tips about the city life, schools, preschools, living areas. Pretty much everything.
For example, which area of the city would you recommend for living?
