The compact introductory workshop will include an introduction to renewable energy, the fundamentals of PV technology, the economics of photovoltaics, grid-connected and off-grid systems, the testing of PV systems, a case study and a visit to a demonstration and test facility.

The workshop will be led by Prof. Dr. Franz Baumgartner, head of Photovoltaics at the Institute for Energy Systems at ZHAW Zurich University for Applied Sciences.
