Why women need to take the flirt initiative in CH? (Zurich)

I have always noticed that flirting in CH is far away the same as in Brazil, but only now that I am out of my 10 years relationship I was even officially informed by my Swiss friends that in CH it is almost a must that girls take the initiative and not the guys. Is that true? For CH in general or/and your country as well? If so... I guess I will be single for a looong time!!!!

I might me a bit old-fashion on that but coming from a "macho country" I do expect the guys to behave like as such and take the initiative. It does not mean I can not give some signs I am interested, but a guy without attitude is not my style at all.

I would like to read other girls (especially but not only of course) opinion on that.
