There’s no doubt about it: Aberdeen is one of the wealthier destinations in the UK. The Scottish powerhouse is a coastal city known for its busy port and petroleum industry, but also its two universities, and much more! With the local bus services (called First Aberdeen), comprehensive road network, and good national railway connections, navigating your way around the city from one place to the next is simple. This also means that if you don’t want to live among the hustle and bustle of the center, you can enjoy a quieter life in one of the smaller surrounding towns such as Bielside or seaside gems Cove Bay and Stonehaven, which are roughly a 25-minute commute away from Aberdeen’s center.
