InterNations — A Community for American Expats in Birmingham

Hello to all Americans in Birmingham! Are you interested in getting to know fellow expats in Birmingham? Looking for advice from other Americans, e.g. wondering if there are any bars in Birmingham which will be showing your favorite baseball or American football team’s upcoming match or where to go in town for st■ turkey?

There’s no doubt about it: Birmingham is incredibly diverse. The city in the West Midlands is a major city known for its Jewellery Quarter, its beautifully restored Victorian buildings, and for being the first manufacturing town in the world, but also for being the home of the Peaky Blinders, a 19th-century gang recently made famous by the popular television show of the same name, and much more! With the network of buses and trains, navigating your way around the city from one place to the next is simple. This also means that if you don’t want to live among the hustle and bustle of the center, you can enjoy a quieter life in Worcester or Stratford-upon-Avon, for example, which are both approximately a 45-minute train ride away from Birmingham’s center.

Although Birmingham has lots to offer, you might be wondering where and how you can meet other Americans in the city. Luckily, InterNations is here to make this easier for you! You’re warmly invited to join the InterNations community. Within our international network in Birmingham, there’s a vibrant circle of American expats from all regions of USA, including New York City, Los Angeles, and beyond.
