Saint Patrick's Night in Abidjan
March 17th is St Patrick's Day, and is widely celebrated around the word by the Irish Community. In most capital cities around the world, you will find an Irish Bar, or a "Paddy's Bar", but for some reason, Abidjan does not have such a place. The Irish community in Cote d'Ivoire is quite small, and there are only six Internations members who admit to coming from Ireland!! I have two Irish ancestors, but you have to go back five generations!!
St Patrick's Night is being celebrated in Abidjan next Tuesday (17th) in Jardyland, starting at Protected content an Irish Happy Hour !! This is followed by an Irish Dinner, with Wrapped Salmon "Fishy Fishy", Irish Stew, and Apple Upsidedown Cake, all finished off with Irish Coffee.
