We invite you to a guided walk with a professional guide in the Great Beguinage: a UNESCO World Heritage site in Leuven.
The beguinage dates from the 13th century. The community had about Protected content in its heyday in the 17th century. It consists of a series of houses, alleys, courtyards, gardens, and parks.

Highlights: walking lectures in Leuven's Great Beguinage. This tour has as its theme the Spanish 16th and 17th centuries in Leuven, with figures such as Felipe El Hermoso, Carlos Quinto, Felipe Segundo, Alva, Farnese, Don Juan de Austria... all of whom stayed in Leuven and left some impressive traces.
Other important facts are also discussed, such as the famous battle against the Normans, the history of Hageland wine, and the mystical courtyards.

Ivo Hermans founded Koerier van Navarra. He studied art history and archeology at the KUL and wrote 'Duende' about flamenco and 'Arroz' about Protected content of rice in Spain, 'Masks of the Sun' about lesser-known aspects of Spanish culture, such as the megaliths in the vineyards of La Rioja. The Courier of Navarre takes its name from the equestrian post that left Spain via the pass of Roncesvalles in Navarra; the ancient migration routes between Iberia and the Low Countries.
