The most beautiful part of Rundumatum
This is the third week we will do it. We got motivation from our fantastic runners who completed the Rundumadum Protected content challenge. That’s why I decided that every weekend I will dedicate to run pieces of the route in order to enjoy a little bit of this unique experience.
The idea is to run phase 1 of Rundumadum backwards, so we will finish at an easy-to-access public transportation point. We will meet at 8:30 am in the entrance of the Anker bread-store, in the station (Please notice that this store is in the station, downstairs of the entrance coming from the university). We will take tram 43 with direction to Newaldegg at 8:37 (Please be on time). We will start running there.
The estimated distance is between 21 to 25 km with Protected content elevation. Going backwards is easier than normal route since we will climb less. The pace will be relaxed, trying to average 6:30 or even 7:00. This means that we will walk and wait during the climb.
Please bring all the required liquids and extra energy you may need, as well as extra dry clothes to change once you are finished. It’s recommended to run with a running backpack. In case you get tired, there are public buses running around (Kahlenberg), however you may need to wait a while for the next bus.
Please noticed that everyone is welcome, however this is a training session and not a hiking tour. We will run slow, but will not walk. If you are doing diet, consider not to diet the day before, you will need energy.
