Hike, Wade & Swim; Charca De Las Castorade

Following the Camino del Castor.
This is a 3.5hr reciprocal hike of 7.5km with only 50m of ascent up a wide track to a river with swimming. The last Protected content is through a gorge where you will have to wade through water waist deep. There is a short easy scramble (please see photographs) to the final destination which is a large pool of clear water where you can swim if you wish. You need to bring or wear clothes that you’re willing to get wet and a towel to get dried off. Because of the terrain and the water, trainers are both acceptable and recommended for this hike. A dry bag or plastic bag for clothes and valuables is a good idea. Although we are in a river please bring plenty of water!!
Meet at 09.50 at the Protected content We drive 10 minutes from there to the start point, last section of track is quite rough. Drinks afterwards; chosen venue is odd!
