My English Persian Kitchen - A Soho Theatre
A Soho Theatre Production By Hannah Khalil from a story by Atoosa Sepehr
"Filled with the mouth-watering flavours of Iran... a beautifully performed piece of life-affirming theatre, [with] a live cookery demonstration that culminates in sampling the food" - Broadway Baby
What would you take if you were forced to leave home with no hope of returning? How would you make a fresh start somewhere completely new?
This is the true story about one woman (played by Isabella Nefar) who loses everything. Written by award-winning Hannah Khalil from the story by Atoosa Sepehr, this life-affirming play chronicles one woman’s quest to start again.
Remembering the tastes and aromas of her mother’s kitchen with live cooking on stage, she recreates the dishes of her childhood and homeland, building a new life and community around food.
