Explore the La Jolla Tide Pools
La Jolla is a terrific place for tide pooling! Tide pools are rocky areas on the edge of the sea that are covered and uncovered daily by the ocean. The creatures that call tide pools home are hardy animals that are able to endure the extreme conditions created by the changing tides each day. We will be exploring at low tide, which is the best time to sneak a peek into this amazing marine jungle.
It's a good idea to wear water shoes with good grip (such as Tevas or Merrell, for example). Flipflops and bare feet are NOT recommended.
