Iyengar Yoga Workshop: Deconstructing the Asanas and Rebuilding
Dear All, there's less than 10 Iyengar yoga teachers in Turkey, and this is a chance to practice Iyengar style in detail! Iyengar yoga is a hatha yoga style (like Vinyasa, Ashtanga), which has a very strong emphasis on details and alignment. It is believed that only then the body can be balanced and thus the mind can relax and soften.
This workshop is SUITABLE for ALL LEVELS of practitioners.
In this workshop, we'll 'DECONSTRUCT' the yoga poses, and try to understand what minor changes in the pose affect the final pose.
Most of us have some yoga poses which are difficult, tough for us while some others in the same yoga room are surprisingly having easy time with the same pose. This workshop may reveal some hidden details for you so that more of those tough poses will become available for you!
We know that most yoga poses are bi-directional, meaning that the different body parts move to opposite directions, thus finding the center and balancing point is the decisive factor for the yoga asana to influence the body intelligence.
