We'll meet in Protected content as usual, at 12 midday, after you've done your weekend shopping, and take sandwiches or a picnic to eat next to a nice Ermita (old country chapel) near Vidreres in the Selva comarca where there are some nice trees, including a milenary oak. Some lovely friends of mine who live near there will show us the way and accompany us.
Then well before nightfall, we'll go on the bit more to Begur, where I have reserved 5 twin rooms in the best value hostal in the rather up-market town of Begur. We can go out and have a bite to eat in the evening there, again accompanied and at a recommended place from another Internations member who lives there, and enjoy the evening in the old town there.
In the morning, after breakfast at the hotel, (not included), I'll take you to the beach where the Coast Path (Camino de Ronda) starts, where the intended part is about 5-7km, not too strenuous, and meanwhile, after starting the path. I'll drive the VW round to where you emerge at the end. It really is a beautiful path, and well-made; you'll enjoy it.
Then after picking you up, we'll go and have a good lunch somewhere, and after a siesta, maybe on the beach, we'll start to make tracks back to Barcelona. There shouldn't be too much traffic, as not being summer, ther's shouldn't be queues coming from the Costa Brava.
I have until 10pm on Friday 10th Nov. to cancel the hotel free of charge, so I will need those who want to come to commit themselves BEFORE 8PM ON FRIDAY 10TH NOV. by paying 30€ into the La Caixa account I will give you once you sign up.
If there aren't 6 names including mine who've paid their deposit by 8pm on that Friday, I will have to cancel the whole thing, as at 10pm that Friday the hotel will charge my credit card. So please don't put your name down unless you are going to make the deposit and come.
If you haven't been to the Costa Brava before, it's the most beautiful part of the Catalan coast, and not being summer, will be most pleasant.
So you'll be able to discover places and people to come back to in summer!
