About the hike
Kijabe Hill is located North West of Nairobi. It is part of the Rift Valley Escarpment which covers 37,620 ha and has major attractions sites which include Gatamaiyu river line walk, Williams Hill, Kijabe / Kiharu circuit and Kereita forest and waterfall.
B. Itinerary meet atProtected content
The trek takes Protected content to the top of the first hill. On a clear day the hill rewards with stunning views of the nearby Longonot, Lake Naivasha, Mt. Suswa and Kikuyu Escarpment Further east are views as far as Elephant hill in the Aberdare ranges .Pyrethrum farms are in plenty at this very high altitude.
The descent from this first hill takes another 1 hour with an additional stretch along the railway line to the second hill popular for an old water trail. This is more steep than the first and you need to pack up your energies for this. The end point is at Soko Mjinga on Nairobi/Naivasha highway.

5. Extra water
6. Hat ,sun screen
7. Jacket : Its Windy & cold sometimes
9. Snacks eg. Crisps, biscuits, Sweets, cookies to last the hike
10. Day Pack /Small Bag to carry your personal items
11. GPS Tracker device-option but important.
