The February Table: Black Sea Soul
Winter season is exactly when the Black Sea kitchen comes to life. The damp Istanbul cold demands the kind of honesty you only find in a Karadeniz pantry, the bubbling cornmeal, the deep flavor of winter greens, and the hamsi (anchovy) at its absolute peak.
This is the season of "the heavy hearth." We are heading to Protected content in Beykoz because their food isn't meant to be eaten alone; it’s designed for the long, slow Sunday conversations that have turned our network into a real family.
As Virginia Woolf once wrote:
“One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.”
Let’s lean into the season and find our "unity of soul" over a shared pan of melting muhlama this Sunday.
