Virtual Tour of the Danakil Depression, Northern Ethiopia
Join the Addis Ababa City Trotters, for a virtual tour of the Danikal Depression in northern Ethiopia. The Danakil is a vast desert plain which lies about Protected content Protected content below sea level. Many sulfur springs, volcanoes, geysers, acidic pools, vast salt pans, and colorful mineral-laden lakes can be found. The virtual tour will explain what can be seen on a 3 or 4 day trip to the area as well as providing advice. There will be a chance to ask questions and share experiences of travelling to Ethiopia. We will meet via videoconferencing on Zoom. The link will be on the platform at least 30 minutes before the tour starts at 4pm East African time.
