Ready to Join?

Every last Saturday of every month, a sea of cyclists (adults and kids) congregate at Protected content in Nairobi Central Business District, to explore the city on wheels! It is a beautiful sight.
They call it the Critical Mass - present in a number of cities and towns. Their only goal is to get more Kenyans on wheels and transform Nairobi into a cycling city.

Gear up and join a safe group to ride your bike, explore the city, or cycle with friends.
Bikes and gear available for hire/purchase.

SAFETY:
The organizers (an NPO) have more than 10 marshals on wheels and police outriders supporting the ride. The route is only shared at the event, but ~ Protected content .
It is possible to leave the bicade at any point, you can deliver the bike at a low cost.
I hosted the InterNations October Protected content
-Cycling was to start at 09:00, but expect a delay. Despite this, we got to meet other cyclists, take videos and photos, test our bikes...
-Police ensured that other road users gave way to the cyclists throughout the ride, and also escorted the cyclists
-There were 3 stops and a slow easy ride
-Bikes with helmets are provided, but please let me know in advance
-You can buy thrift cycling gear (at huge discounts) at the venue
-Beginners, the disadvantaged, and kids start first - slow ride

Choose to watch or participate. If not cycling, you can take an uber to follow the cyclists.
See you there.
